The Geography program at the Okanagan Campus of the University of British Columbia (UBCO) is delighted to serve as host for the WDCAG 2012 conference, which is a regional meeting of the Canadian Association of Geographers. This conference serves as an annual gathering place for geographers and interested others from British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and the northwestern U.S. states to share recent advancements in the discipline, and we expect that the 2012 meeting will be no different. We welcome geographers and those interested in Geography to join us in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, traditional territory of the Syilx people, for what promises to be an interesting, educational, and fun event.
For those of you who are curious, we have decided not to provide the 2012 meeting with a thematic title. In this way we hope to encourage the widest possible variety of paper and poster topics as befits our broad discipline. We look forward to seeing all who call themselves “geographers”, and those interested in their cultural and physical environments, at the meeting in March, 2012 here in Kelowna!
